Blue Line Delays Caused By Report Of Person On Tracks
Chicago police were called Friday morning about someone on the tracks near the Logan Square station.

CHICAGO, IL — Blue Line trains are back running with residual delays Friday morning after an unauthorized person was on the tracks near the Logan Square Station, according to the CTA. Service between the California and Montrose stations was suspended for about a half hour as Chicago police resolved the situation.
The incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, the transit agency said. Police had been called about someone on the tracks, but officers were unable to find anyone, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Chicago police said they had received a call for a person on the tracks but no one had been found.

"Crews are working to close up gaps in service left from the earlier disruption due to a person who was on our tracks," the CTA stated in an online update. "[P]ay attention to train signs and announcements on the Blue Line as some trains may be sent express as we work to spread trains out and restore normal service. "
