Bucktown Pizzeria Lands on Zagat’s ‘Must-Try’ List
The food experts are listing off Chicago's must-try pizza joints, and one Bucktown business made the cut.

The food experts at Zagat are listing off the top 10 “must-try” new pizzas in Chicago, and Pizza House in Bucktown is snagging an honor for the best new Sicilian slice.
Located at 1647 W. Cortland St., the restaurant maxes out pizzas at 12 inches so the centers don’t get soggy. The thin-crust pies are served up in the cozy and casual space right near the Kennedy Expressway.
“An old-school revolving oven produces pies made to order (thin crust or double dough) and specialty slices,” Zagat writes. “The whole-wheat crust is thin with a cornmeal bottom, which helps achieve a crispy edge and chewy texture. It's slathered in tangy housemade sauce and covered with cheese and your choice of toppings.”
