Colectivo Coffee To Open In Wicker Park

CHICAGO — Wicker Park will have a new cafe patio option just in time for spring — Colectivo Coffee is slated to open on Damen Avenue this Friday, April 26. This will be the cafe chain's fifth location in Chicago.

The Wicker Park location, at 1211 N. Damen Avenue, is opening just after Colectivo's new menu launch across all locations. The new menu will still have the shop's "classic and comfort food" options, but will now offer items that are "more inclusive of diverse diets with a range of globally inspired, plant-based, and protein-rich options," owners said in a blog post.

New options include the vegan harissa roasted Cauliflower Banh Mi, the Sesame Sweet Potato Bowl (with quinoa, kale and roasted Brussels sprouts) and the vegan Chia Power Bowl. Fritatta bowls will replace Colectivo's lineup of daily quiches, and the drink menu has been revamped with items such as the Bloom Latte, the Matcha Lemon Frappe and Coconut Anthology Iced Tea.

The new 3,000-square foot Wicker Park cafe will include a large patio, a fireplace and a custom two-story chandelier, according to a report by Eater Chicago.

The chain currently has shops in Logan Square, Lincoln Park, Andersonville and Evanston.
