Faulty Amtrak Signal Controls Cause Metra Delays
Major delays were reported for both Amtrak and Metra Thursday.

CHICAGO — Amtrak signal issues caused major delays at Union Station for both Metra and Amtrak service Thursday. A communications problem with Amtrak's automated signal system caused the delays, officials said.
At about 8:30 a.m., Metra announced that all Union Station inbound and outbound trains stopped temporarily as Amtrak continued to troubleshoot the problem.
Train #1264 to Aurora was canceled, Metra officials said in a tweet.
