Former Blackhawks Player Buys Bucktown Beauty
Could Anaheim Ducks center Brandon Pirri be hoping for a return to the Blackhawks?

CHICAGO, IL - NHL center Brandon Pirri hasn’t played for the Chicago Blackhawks in five years. He now skates for the Anaheim Ducks, one of Chicago’s chief rivals in the tough Western Conference.
And just as the Ducks (and the Hawks) are prepping for the postseason, news breaks that Pirri has purchased a home. In Bucktown.
Not Bucktown, California, the unincorporated county about halfway between Sacramento and San Francisco.

Bucktown, Chicago. The neighborhood on the Near North Side. Just four miles away from the United Center.
Pirri and his fiance, Elyse Mishkin, paid $920,000 for a four-bedroom, 4,000-square foot home in the neighborhood, according to Chicago Tribune Elite Street reports.

The home features some solid amenities for being situated in the heart of the big city. It has hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar and lower level complete with a rec room.
Pirri was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2009 and played parts of two seasons with the team, including the 2009-2010 Stanley Cup title winning campaign. He was then traded to the Florida Panthers and has since landed with the Ducks.
But could this Bucktown purchase be a sign of his return to the Blackhawks? We’ll see, but hopefully not before another Stanley Cup journey for Chicago.
