Former Chicago White Sox cather A.J. Pierzynski has officially put his Lincoln Park home on the market.

The move—the listing went live Jan. 4—came slightly more than one week after he announced he was leaving the South Side team for the Texas Rangers. The 36-year-old is asking $1.75 million for the Victorian style home at 2139 N. Clifton Ave. in Lincoln Park, according to a Crain's Chicago Business report.

Real estate agents boast that the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home originally built in 1886 has been "updated for today's living" and features an "unbelievable restoration which has the best of old and new."

Pierzynski earned several awards and honors in his eight years with the White Sox, including being named the 2006 all-star and leading the team to a 2005 World Series Championship. Teammates recently told Major League Baseball representatives that they'll miss his desire to win.

Crain's reports:

On Dec. 26, the Arlington, Texas-based Rangers announced that Mr. Pierzynski had signed a one-year, $7.5 million contract.

After the signing, he published a half-page ad in the Chicago Tribune thanking fans for their support, saying, "Chicago will always be 'my kind of town.'"
