Girl & The Goat Expanding To West Coast
One of Chicago's most popular restaurants is opening a new L.A. location, chef Stephanie Izard announced.
CHICAGO, IL — The award-winning, ever-popular Girl & the Goat restaurant in Chicago is expanding to the West Coast, co-owner and executive chef Stephanie Izard announced Friday. The new location will open its doors in Los Angeles' Arts District, she said. In a tweet, Izard said the L.A. neighborhood reminds her "so much" of the West Loop, the Girl & the Goat's birthplace.
Best known as the first female chef to win Bravo's Top Chef during its fourth season, Izard is also the co-owner and executive chef of two other award-winning Chicago restaurants: Little Goat and Duck Duck Goat. Izard received a James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Great Lakes in 2013 for her work at Girl & the Goat.
Izard's restaurant Little Goat was recently ranked among the top-101 casual dining restaurants in the U.S. by the Daily Meal.

Girl & the Goat offers a diverse, creative menu, and is often praised in reviews for its ambience and "soaring" ceilings.
So excited to share that Girl & the Goat is headed to the West coast! The Arts District in LA reminds me so much of the West Loop in Chicago and I can’t wait to bring the Goat fam there Summer 2019...and enjoy some more sunshine ;) pic.twitter.com/Y0bQB87o7p
