HT GBK to open season on the road @ Morgan Park Academy

GIRLS BASKETBALL:
The Holy Trinity girls varsity will open their 2019-20 season November 19th as they travel to Morgan Park Academy to face the Warriors at the latter gym. (google map link listed below).

Tiger head mentor, Tim Sheehan, welcomes 22 individuals to this year's program that is split between varsity and junior varsity levels.

It is a young group, with no seniors among the current roster members.
Varsity-wise, four juniors return from last years squad that graduated nine seniors.

Add to this varsity list, two sophomores and four freshmen and one young junior and the Tigers will be "learning out of the gate" for coach Sheehan this upcoming campaign.
CURRENT HT VARSITY:
Juniors: Alyssa Hernandez, Nikya Warren, Shay Hicks and Imani Gonnigan; Sophomores: Mahogany Bowen and Niyah Williams; Freshmen: Jalyssa Diaz, Kyra Hayes, Anaya Davidson and Moriah Boston; Juniors: Dioseline Hernandez and Isabel Toler.
Junior Varsity:
Freshmen: Anayssa Betancourt, Layla Rivera, Sabrina Espinosa, Kayla Reyes and Ebony Patino; Sophmore: Jessica Suarez; Juniors: Toler, Nhi Doung and Rozlyn Ross; Seniors: Linh Han, Thao Nguyen and Thu Duong.

FINAL Volleyball wrap notes:
In the final team get-together hosted at HT on November 15th, Tiger head coach Marcelina Tokarczyk and varsity assistant Qiana Young presented special awards to team members of the 2019-20 squads.
These included:
Most Valuable Player: Moshay Turner -- senior.
Tiger Award: Jennifer Rios -- senior.
Rookie of the Year: Alyssa Hernandez -- junior.
Most Improved Player: Kyra Hayes -- freshman.
Academic Award: Moshay Turner -- senior.
Four-Year Participant: Moshay Turner -- senior.
Following the awards, the varsity and junior varsity enjoyed an evening of college volleyball, traveling to the campus of Northwestern University to view a BIG 10 battle between the host Wildcats and Rutgers University. (pictures of the evening provided above).'
