Keeping a hot hand going, the Lady Tigers won their fourth straight contest Tuesday evening (December 3rd) with a 46-29 decision over the Northtown Charter Pumas on the road.
This win was also the Tigers first in Chicago Prep league play.
Featured for Holy Trinity was Alyssa Hernandez with 18 points, Jalyssa Diaz, who added 14 points on four treys and a field goal made and Niyah Williams, who came off the bench and scored a career-high 10 points.
The host Pumas saw Melissa Aho lead all players in scoring with 21 points on the evening. Teammate Jesika Pabello added 4.
The contest was close through the first half, with Holy Trinity holding a 9-8 lead after one stanza and then extending that margin to 19-13 at the half.
It was still close going through the end of 24 minutes with the Tigers holding a five-point 29 to 24 lead before HT's Diaz buried three treys and Williams score four of her game total 10 to put the contest out of reach of the Pumas.

HT Takes 1st in the Thanksgiving tourney:
Out of reach was the word for the Tigers in this year's Thanksgiving event, as HT went 3-0 en route to capturing the title in this three-day event.
In the final game versus UIC Prep, a 46-35 win, HT say Alyssa Hernandez score 16, while teammates Jalyssa Diaz and Kyra Hayes had 12 and five points respectively. Nikya Warren added four to these totals.
Named to the All-Tourney team were Hernandez, Diaz and Imani Gonnigan for their efforts. (see team pic provided).

HT vs. Marian Catholic, Wednesday, Dec. 4th:
Tonight the Lady Tigers host Marian Catholic in a 7 pm nonconference affair.
The visiting Spartans, who play in Class 4A -- the largest of the girls' basketball divisions in the state of Illinois -- are currently 2 and 2 overall and should provide Holy Trinity with a good barometer of just how far along the host school has progressed here in the early goings of the 2019-20 campaign.

HT BBK dropped a 57-48 decision to the Latin School on the road Tuesday evening (Dec. 3). The program still looks for that first win on the season.
