HT sports: Holy Trinity Indoor Track Highlights; GBK regionals.

Track opens season; GBK in regional play Wednesday, Feb. 12th.

The Holy Trinity Track Team opened the 2019-2020 season Sunday at the De La Salle Open.

In the 300
meters print, Moshay Turner finished first with a time of 47.91. Ariana Nelson finished 22nd with a time of 62.88. In the 60 meter sprint, Turner finished 9th covering the distance in 9.02. while teammate Samaia Nunn finished 23rd.

On the boys’ side, Lyle Gray and Isaiah Davis continued
to push each other, finishing the 60-meter event 11th and 12th with times
of8.11 and 8.12 respectively. Also going head to head in the 300-meter sprint,
Davis (12th) edged out Gray (14th), 45.45 to 46.19.

Holy Trinity returns to
the track February 22nd as they will compete in the Roscoe Whitfield
Invitational.

HT Girls Basketball roundup:

With the state playoffs just 2 days away, the
Lady Tigers finished the Chicago Prep conference play in fourth place for both the regular season and the season-ending conference playoffs.

The team takes a #4 seed position into this
Wednesday’s state regional action (see the bracket below) and currently the
team’s overall record stands at 14 wins and 10 losses. In conference play their
record was 8 wins and 3 losses.
