HT spring sports roundup for 04.05.17

Girls Soccer -- HT 4, St. Joseph 1:

The girls soccer team recorded another win yesterday (their 7th of the season to go with one loss)
with 4-1 victory over the St. Joseph Chargers. Emily Gallegos opened the scoring with a goal
assisted by Jennifer Rios. Emily scored again before half time, assisted by Atzirhi Guido.
In the second half Vanessa Cardenas scored off a pass from Emily Gallegos. Atzitri Guido closed the
scoring with a goal assisted by Jennifer Rios.

TIGER TRACK & FIELD
Tiger Runners Open Outdoor Season
On Tuesday (April 4), the Tiger Track team traveled to Luther North High School to open the 2017 outdoor
season. The following Tiger athletes entered the scoring column for Holy Trinity: Hafeez Soberu
(1st 200 meters, 2nd 100 meters, 400 meters, long jump), Moshay Turner (1st 200 meters, 2nd 400 meters,
5th 100 meters), Abi Salimon (2nd 100 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, 3rd 100 meters), and Manny
Davis (5th 800 meters, long jump).The competition provided valuable experience for the first year
runners and established a base for the rest of the year.
The teams’ next competition will a quadrangle meet April 11 at Lisle High School, followed by the
Luther North High School Track and Field Invitational on April 15, 2017.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL:
HOSTING Chicago Prep Conference rival Hope Academy IN THE JUNGLE, Thursday April 6 @ 5pm.
NEXT: Friday, April 7 both the sophomore and varsity teams HOST UNO Soccer Academy in two matches.
Game times are 5pm/6pm.
