Judge Orders Restrictions On R. Kelly's West Loop Studio
Building code violations have been found at the singer's rented warehouse in Chicago, city officials said.

CHICAGO — A Cook County judge has ordered restrictions on a West Loop studio being rented by R. Kelly. City inspectors visited the warehouse last week and discovered code violations, officials said.
The warehouse at 219 N. Justine St. can only be used between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., the judge ruled.
The inspectors found stairs in need of repair, and its second floor is now closed off.

Clothing and toiletries were found in the building and city attorneys said they suspect people may be living there, according to a report by ABC Chicago. Kelly's lawyer has denied those claims, and said that last week's inspection proved that nobody was living in the warehouse.
The new restrictions have been ordered in the wake of the damning docuseries, "Surviving R. Kelly." Multiple women in the six-part docuseries said they've been victims of a sex cult led by Kelly. Many came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct, abuse and pedophilia.

Kelly and his attorney have spent years denying the allegations.
Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx held a news conference earlier this month in Chicago to discuss allegations against R. Kelly. Foxx urged any possible witnesses or victims to talk to prosecutors.
