‘Lavish’ Bucktown Development Moves Forward on North
The 18-unit condo building is taking over a Citgo gas station plot on North Avenue. After months of waiting, the development is finally moving forward.

Construction crews are now officially moving forward with a new development that will replace a former Citgo gas station with an 18-unit luxury housing facility.
Hermitage Sixteen11 has been in the works since early 2013, if not earlier, when Sedgwick Properties Development Corp. proposed the housing plan. Located at 1611 N. Hermitage Ave., the project clearly gets its name from its location.
Once completed it will feature 18 three bedroom, two bathroom units with private elevator access, private outdoor spaces and hardwood floors throughout.

That’s combined with “lavish master suites,” in-unit laundry and attached heated parking, according to Koening & Strey’s real estate listing of the units. Pre-construction costs range from $650,000-$750,000.
Construction was seemingly at a standstill before Curbed Chicago noticed a post on the forum SkyscraperPage detailing work at the site.

“The Wicker Park Citgo is completely fenced off, with a colorful sign advertising the upcoming condo and its website,” a SkyscraperPage user wrote on Thursday.
Jennifer Mills-Klatt, a real estate representative with Koening & Strey working with Hermitage Sixteen11, says construction will hopefully be finished in the first quarter of 2014.
