Man Accused Of DUI, Hitting Pedestrians On Logan Square Sidewalk
The man was driving away from the scene of another crash Saturday when he hit the victims, police said.

CHICAGO — A man has been charged with reckless driving and felony counts of aggravated DUI after pedestrians were hit outside a Logan Square bar early Saturday, authorities said. The man was driving away from the scene of another crash when he struck the victims on Milwaukee Avenue near Fullerton at around 1:49 a.m., police said.
Brian Sagastume, 20, of Wheeling, is accused of driving onto the sidewalk and hitting a 29-year-old woman, a 33-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, police said.
The two men were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, police said. The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Another man who was hit declined additional medical treatment at the scene.

Prosecutors said one of the victims had to have four of their toes amputated, another nearly bit their tongue off and a third had the skin of their foot torn off, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Sagastume faces multiple charges, including aggravated DUI causing bodily harm, reckless driving and misdemeanor counts of leaving the scene.

His bail was set at $80,000 during a hearing Monday at the Leighton Criminal Court Building. He's scheduled to appear back in court Nov. 19.
