A woman suffered a broken arm during the robbery, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — A 43-year-old man has been charged in a July Logan Square carjacking, police said. Torino Williams, of the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side, has been charged with a felony count of vehicular hijacking, according to police.

A 43-year-old woman was standing near her vehicle around noon on July 14, trying to pay for parking with her phone. Williams and another man walked up and pushed her to the ground, took her keys from her purse and drove off with her vehicle, according to police.

The woman suffered a broken arm when she was pushed to the ground, police said.

Later, it was discovered that the offenders sold the stolen vehicle through social media — the people who purchased the car were unable to register the vehicle, and reported it to police, authorities said.
