Man Dies In Near West Side Car Fire
A man was found on fire next to a burning car, fire officials said.
CHICAGO — A car went up in flames and engulfed a man Wednesday morning on the Near West Side. The man was found on fire on the sidewalk next to the car in the 2700 block of West Jackson, fire officials said.
The flames were put out just before 3 a.m., and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Fire officials said the man may have been living in the car. He appeared to be over 30 years of age, authorities said, but his exact age range was not known.

It's unclear how the fire started, fire officials said. Area North detectives and the Police Bomb and Arson Unit were conducting a death investigation.
The man has not been identified, and no further information has been released.
