Man Shoots Two Men Trying To Rob Him In Logan Square

The armed robbers went after the man near Cortland Street and Francisco Avenue, police said.

CHICAGO — A 29-year-old man shot two suspects who were trying to rob him in the Logan Square neighborhood last week, police said. The shooting occurred in the 2900 block of West Cortland Street around 9:45 p.m. Monday, according to police.

The man was standing on a sidewalk, when the two suspects got out of a silver Nissan holding guns, police said. They tried to rob the man, but he had a gun of his own and fired it at the suspects, according to police.

Both robbers were taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

The man had a concealed carry license, police said. He was not hurt.
