Man Shot In Bucktown Attempted Robbery

A man was working on his car, when four suspects demanded his belongings at gunpoint, police said.

CHICAGO — A man was shot during an attempted robbery in the Bucktown neighborhood Tuesday night, police said. The 28-year-old man was working on his car in the 2000 block of North Hoyne Avenue just before 9 p.m., when four masked suspects went up to him and demanded his belongings, police said.

When the man refused, one of the suspects shot him in the leg, according to police.

The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in stable condition.

Three people have been taken in for questioning in connection with the shooting, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
