NY Chain The Halal Guys Opens In Wicker Park
The popular New York chain opened Saturday on Milwaukee Avenue.
CHICAGO, IL — The New York-based chain The Halal Guys opened its third Chicago restaurant Saturday in Wicker Park. Ald. Joe Moreno (1st) showed up for the new location's ribbon cutting at 1415 N. Milwaukee Avenue. The new opening is part of the chain's expansion — around 200 restaurants are expected to open around the world, the chain said.
The Halal Guys is open until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday for post-party cravings. The menu offers chicken, beef gyro and falafel wraps and platters, with a choice of toppings and the chain's white and hot sauce. Sides include hummus, baba ganouj, fries and falafel.
The Halal Guys has locations in the Loop and Gold Coast. The Wicker Park location is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday; 11 a.m. to midnight Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
