CHICAGO — The third public meeting for Wild Mile Chicago will be held this Thursday, the 2nd Ward office announced. The Wild Mile will be a floating eco-park on the North Branch Canal of the Chicago River — a man-made channel along the east side of Goose Island between Chicago Ave and North Ave.

The city's Department of Planning and Development is working with a consultant group to prepare a framework plan for the eco-park, which would include a wildlife habitat, recreation and educational opportunities.

Community members are invited to give feedback on goals, priorities and designs for the park's plan this Thursday, April 25, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Near North neighborhood. The meeting will be held at the Cornerstone Center: Leslie Hall, 1111 N. Wells St.
