Second Mexican Food Truck Announces Permanent Location in Wicker Park

Wicker Park is getting a little bit spicier. A second Mexican food truck has announced a brick and mortar location in the neighborhood. 

Tamale Spaceship is landing at 1341 N. Damen Ave., and expects to be open in a few months, Eater Chicago reports. Construction is underway at the location, formerly home to Gratto Pizzeria.

The food truck specializes in tamales made by a “Masked Lunchador.”

Tamale Spaceship won’t be an alien in the neighborhood.

In August, 5411 Empanadas announced it would also come to Wicker Park. The Mexican empanadas truck is opening its second location at 2050 W. North Ave.
