Ted Leo, Cults to Headline Wicker Park Fest 2013

The first wave of performers has been announced, with Man Man, Bahamas and Rocky Erickson rounding out the rest.

Organizers are slowly revealing musical acts for Wicker Park Fest 2013, with Cults and Ted Leo & the Pharmacists signed to rock out on stage this summer on Milwaukee Avenue.

The annual event will unfold July 27-28 from noon to 10 p.m. on Milwaukee Avenue from North Avenue to Paulina Street. Presented by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, the event is free, but there is a suggested $5 donation to support local schools, nonprofits and small businesses.

Wicker Park Fest draws more than 60,000 people to Milwaukee Avenue each year for the music-based event.

New York City-born band Cults will bring its indie flair to Chicago for the event with a performance on July 27. In addition, American rock band Ted Leo and the Pharmacists will also headline over the weekend on July 28.

Rounding out the first wave of performances is Man Man, Bahamas and Roky Erickson. The second round of headliners and performers has yet to be announced.

Those interested in setting up shop at Wicker Park Fest as a vendor have until June 21 to submit an application. More information can be found on the event’s website.
