Walgreens 'Fresh Food Bus' Making Pit Stop in Bucktown
The bus will be handing out free juices, smoothies and frozen yogurt to promote the new foods it plans to serve at select stores. Read when and where they'll be here.

Walgreens is busting out its 40-foot-long bus in Bucktown this week to show off some of its new food in a tour around Chicago.
The mobile “Up Market: Fresh” bus will be parked in front of the Walgreens at 2001 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Bucktown on Friday from 4-6 p.m. Once there, curious customers can snatch up treats and try out Walgreens’ latest menu items.
Several innovations are making Walgreens the first choice for health and daily living throughout neighborhoods nationwide. Our fresh food offerings provide customers with easier access to a greater selection of fresh foods and beverages,” said Jim Jensen, vice president of global partnerships for Walgreens. “The ‘Up Market: Fresh’ experience is a unique way to showcase our commitment to help people get, stay and live well.”

Some of the Fresh menu items Walgreens plans to serve up in Bucktown include:
- Juices Samples of juices made from a combination of fresh fruits and vegetables. “Skyline Sunset” is a featured juice and is a blend of watermelon, pears and oranges.
- Smoothie—The featured smoothie will be the “Da Bears Blend,” which is blended from bananas, strawberries and orange juice.
- Frozen Yogurt—Two low-fat frozen yogurts will be sampled alongside a selection of toppings.
- Café—Visitors can receive free samples of a selection of coffees brewed using the same fresh roasts and barista quality techniques showcased at Walgreens.
