Wicker Park Restaurant To Be Featured On Food Network Series
The popular ramen spot OiiStarr is one of three Chicago spots featured on a new comfort food series.

CHICAGO, IL — A Wicker Park restaurant will be featured on the new "Comfort Food Tour" series, scheduled to premiere Saturday on Food Network. Mark Anderson and Ryan Fey, known as "The Grill Dads" — a nod to their love of fatherhood and grilling — were recently named winners on Guy Fieri's "Big Guys Show," a contest to find the next big Food Network travel series. Anderson and Fey's new series will also feature restaurants in the West Loop and Heart of Chicago neighborhoods.
In Anderson and Fey's Aug. 4 episode, they will head to Wicker Park to visit the popular restaurant OiiStarr, where they will try a bowl of Spicy Garlic Shoyu Ramen "with a side of the best Asian buns the Windy City has to offer," the Food Network preview said.
Born and raised in Korea, chef Sunny Tim was inspired to open OiiStarr after working with many Italian and French chefs, and traveling to Japan to master the craft of noodle making. His restaurant combines traditional Japanese ramen noodles with French and Italian influences to create four signature ramen dishes.

This Saturday's episode of "Comfort Food Tour" will feature the family-run restaurant Bacchanalia in the Heart of Chicago. Anderson and Fey will help make the restaurant's "creamy, impossibly cheesy" lasagna, as well as the family's tiramisu "crafted with love," the Food Network said in its preview.
Then in their July 28 episode, the pair will visit Chicken and Farm Shop in the West Loop "where they go nuts for an eye-opening fried chicken sandwich locals claim is the best chicken sandwich bar-none," the network's preview read.
