Wicker Park Winter Farmers Market Begins

The popular market has moved inside Chop Shop for the winter.

CHICAGO — The Wicker Park Farmers Market has opened its first-ever indoor winter market at Chop Shop. The market kicked off on Saturday, Dec. 1 in the shop at 2033 W. North Ave.

The market will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through April, 2019.

The market will offer fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, flowers and handmade products. Visit the market's website for a full list of vendors.

The market accepts LINK and SNAP cards, and offers the Double Value Coupon Program, which provides matching funds for LINK card users when they purchase LINK-eligible products.

The WickerICE skating rink also kicked off over the weekend at 1425 N. Damen Ave. in the park's softball field. The rink is free, but skaters have to bring their own skates.
