Police responded to a local gym following several incidents in the sauna room; package with Crocs stolen: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

- Edward Maurice Shields, 47, of the 0-100 block of N 3rd Avenue, Maywood, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, and was arrested at 2:05 p.m. Feb. 6 at Weiland Road and Deerfield Parkway. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of March 19 in Mundelein.
- Fredy Chino Guadalupe, 20, of the 1500 block of Crimson Lane, Palatine, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, and was arrested at 9:31 p.m. Feb. 7 at Dundee Road and Lake Boulevard. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of March 19 in Mundelein.
- Joseph Alberto Barcenas, 20, of the 1500 block of N Silver Lane, Palatine, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, speeding over the statutory limit, and was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Feb. 5 at Dundee Road and Vernon Lane. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of March 12 in Mundelein.
SPEEDING
Rafael Sahakyan, 21, of the 1100 block of Auburn Lane, Buffalo Grove, is accused of speeding (40 miles over the speed limit), possession/sale of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested at 10:07 a.m. Feb. 10 at Burgess Circle. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of March 19 in Mundelein.

RETAIL THEFT
Joseph Paul Kim, 62, of the 2900 block of Grove Street, Glenview, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Woodman's Market, 1550 E Deerfield Parkway. Police responded to the store for a report of a shoplifter in holding. A manager told police they followed Kim to his car and saw him place unpaid for items, totaling $296.57, in the trunk. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of Feb. 23 in Waukegan.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- Edwin Cardona, 42, of the 5200 block of N Nagle, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 6:01 a.m. Feb. 5 at Checker and Farrington drives. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of March 17 in Waukegan.
- Robert Brandon McNeily, 32, of the 300 block of E Liberty Drive, Wheaton, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content level greater than .08, illegal lane usage, and was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Feb. 10 at Lake Cook Road and Hastings. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of March 17 in Waukegan.
POSSESSION OF LOST CREDIT/DEBIT CARD
Alexsandr Volkov, 34, of the 800 block of Bernard Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of possession of lost credit/debit card, and was arrested at 12:55 p.m. Feb. 9. He was assigned to a bond hearing on Feb. 10 in Rolling Meadows.
NO DRIVER'S LICENSE
Joanne Ocampo, 29, of the 100 block of N Manchester Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of no driver's license/permit, driving too fast for conditions, and was arrested at 9:51 p.m. Feb. 6. She was given a $2,500 bond and assigned a court date of March 19.
INCIDENTS
THEFT
A resident in the 0-100 block of Oak Creek Drive reported at 6:47 p.m. Feb. 8 someone took her package containing Croc shoes from the common area of the apartment complex.
BATTERY
Police were called to Sky Fitness, 1501 E Busch Parkway, at 7:50 p.m. Feb. 6 for a report of a battery. A member said that when he was in the sauna room, he said "good morning" to a man, which made them upset. He said the man got into his face and head-butted him. The member refused medical attention when asked who hit him and could not provide a description of the man. Another man walked into the lobby with a bloody ear, said he had been hit by a group of guys in the sauna room, but also refused medical attention.
