Buffalo Grove PD Collecting Donations At ‘Stuff The Squad' Events
The food and household goods drive begins May 1.

The Police Department will be partnering with local grocery stores and schools in early May for a “Stuff the Squad” food and household goods drive. Non-perishable food items and home supplies will be collected and donated to food pantries that serve the Buffalo Grove community.

Local food pantries have been a valuable resource for residents as the coronavirus pandemic has led to strained household budgets for many. The department is pleased with the opportunity to collect resources that will help community members during times of need.
Police will be collecting items at the following locations during the listed dates and times:

Mariano’s 450 W. Half Day Rd., Buffalo Grove May 1 | 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m.
Garden Fresh 770 S. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove May 1 | 1 – 4 p.m.
Sunset Foods 4190 Route 83, Long Grove May 2 | 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m.
Woodman’s 1550 Deerfield Pkwy, Buffalo Grove May 2 | 1 – 4 p.m.
Jewel 79 McHenry Rd., Buffalo Grove May 8 | 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Target 1400 E. Lake Cook Rd , Wheeling May 8 | 1 – 4 p.m.
Additionally, the department is coordinating with local school districts for “Stuff the Squad” events at nine local elementary schools as part of the donation drive.
Please consider purchasing some extra groceries and other supplies to help community members who could benefit. For more information, call the Police Department at 847-459-2560.
