Buffalo Grove Police Chief Steven Casstevens has been honored by the Illinois Security Professionals Association (ISPA) as the 2020 Law Enforcement Official of the Year.

The 59th Annual Awards Gala was hosted virtually this year on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, where Chief Casstevens was presented with the award by Dennis Gano, executive director of the ISPA.
“Chief Casstevens has been awarded for his distinguished service, his history in law enforcement and going above and beyond the performance of his duties,” Gano stated.

Gano also made note of the impact Casstevens made during his time as president of both the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police (ILACP) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
Established in 1961, the ISPA is a statewide organization comprised of private security, law enforcement and public safety professionals who are committed to working together and promoting professional relationships within the industry.
