Buffalo Grove Ranked No. 3 Best Place To Live In Illinois

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — While it may be no secret to people living here, Buffalo Grove was recently selected as the3rd Best Place To Live in Illinois and the 5th Best Place to Raise A Family in the state. The rankings come from Niche.com, a community data and ranking platform, which awarded Buffalo Grove with an A+ and ranked it #4 in the nation for having the best schools.

The community also received an A+ rating, noting low crime rates, a diverse resident base, business growth and quality of life, according to a news release.

“On a yearly basis, Buffalo Grove is consistently recognized for being a highly desirable place to live, work and raise a family. In addition to our schools, part of what also makes our Village so strong are the many contributions from community volunteers, our Park District and other organizations that serve our community and our residents,” Village President Beverly Sussman said in the news release.

Additionally, Niche.com rated Buffalo Grove as the No. 4 Place with the Best Public Schools in America. Schools attended by Buffalo Grove students include nationally recognized and award-winning District 125’s Adlai E. Stevenson High School, and Buffalo Grove High School/District 214, as well as elementary and junior high school districts 21, 96 and 103.

In the news release, the Village touted having taken several steps to contribute to quality of life, including the Infrastructure Modernization Program, a 5-year, $175 million investment in roads, water and sanitary sewer systems and other capital projects. The Village also launched the BG Delivers website to support local businesses by providing a free business directory to connect residents with goods and services offered in Buffalo Grove to keep the local economy strong.
