Buffalo Grove Woman Charged For Leaving Son in Hot Car
Police say Zhao Yan was shopping in the 900 block of North Elmhurst Road and left her child inside of a hot car, the Daily Herald reports.
A Buffalo Grove woman faces child endangerment charges for leaving her 4-year-old alone in the car on an 85-degree day, the Daily Herald reports.
Zhao Yan, 41, was arrested on July 14 after leaving her child in the car for 30 minutes while she was shopping in Mount Prospect. Police were called after witnesses heard the child crying. The boy did not suffer serious injuries, according to the newspaper. Yan told police she left her son in the car because he was sleeping.
