Business, Non-Profits and Area Community Invited to Join 1st Responders Challenge/Family Fest

Summer may have just begun, but it’s time to get the First Responders Challenge/Family Fest 2015 on your calendar for Saturday, August 22nd at Deer Grove East Forest Preserve - register to participate in a number of exciting family-friendly events! Patch.com is a media sponsor for a second year!

This 2nd annual event has something for everyone, including a Youth 1-Mile Run to kick-off the day, followed by a 5K Fun Run/Walk in the morning.

Then, the marquis event of the day - the 2nd Annual First Responders Challenge starts at 11 a.m.- where area police, firefighters, EMT’s, auxiliary personnel and other individuals called to serve and protect will compete in an exciting obstacle course challenge for championship bragging rights! The winning team will donate event proceeds to their charity of choice. After the challenge is over, attendees can participate in a tug-of-war and water balloon toss challenge!
