Seasonal & Holidays

Children's Lurie Books Donation

Your support will help us donate our books to the children in the hospital this holiday season.

Tis the Season, Be the Reason that a child smiles
Raising $250.00 to donate our activity books to Children’s Lurie Hospital
I know that this is a busy time of the year, and it seems as though everyone is walking around with their hand out, I guess I’m no different. This summer I reached out to St. Jude’s Hospital to see if they would accept our book donations, their response was that there is actually a waiting list for such. So, I reached out to Children’s Lurie Hospital who were very grateful for our offer. Then, I raised funds to purchase the books and ship them to the hospital, and I would like to do it again this month.
Here is what the hospital had to say about our donation:
Dear Joni,
On behalf of our patients, their families and our staff at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, I would like to sincerely thank you for your contribution. The books arrived this week, are super nice and most of them have already been put into good use.
Your help in creating a better healing environment for children staying with us is greatly appreciated. The kid friendly fun, comfort and cheer that we are able to extend to those in our care would not be possible without the support of generous people like you.
With gratitude,
Justyna

May your Holiday Season, not matter what you celebrate, be filled with love, laughter, family and friends, and remember it’s almost 2018, so we’ll be doing it all over again!
Love,
Joni

Making A Difference, One Child At A time.

Paper Bag Puppet

This little girl made Responsible Rabbit with our Paper Bag Activity Book, looks like she had some help with staying in the lines and cutting! From this, discuss what it means to be responsible, like asking your child, "Who is responsible to clean your mess? "Who is responsible to brush your teeth?" I used to ask my students when they forgot their homework, "Who is responsible to get your homework into your backpack?" This character does a lot with such fun stories, crafts and talks.

Naughty or Nice

Our Characters made the 'nice' list this year with Breakfast with Santa. We sure hope you'll make a donation to this worthy cause, and help us to continue to MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD.
