Students Make President's List at Miami University

Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2020-21 have been named to the President's list recognizing academic excellence. Local students include:

• Abby Sokol, of Buffalo Grove, is earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in University Studies
• Megan Fitzgerald, of Buffalo Grove, is earning a Bachelor of Arts, B.S. in Social Work degree in Psychology, Social Work

Miami University students who are ranked in the top twenty percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2020-21 have been named to the Dean's list recognizing academic excellence.

• Magda Odrowaz, of Buffalo Grove, is earning a B.S. in Kinesiology & Health in Nutrition
• Anjini Grover, of Buffalo Grove, is earning a B.S. in Education, Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Mathematics Edu, Mathematics
• Hannah McDougall, of Buffalo Grove, is earning a B.S. in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering Physics
• Gurnaaz Sohi, of Buffalo Grove, is earning a B.S. in Business in Supply Chain & Operations Mgmt, Entrepreneurship

Buffalo Grove's Howard Named All-Academic for UW-Whitewater Bowling

Rebecca Howard, a native of Buffalo Grove and member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team, is one of 13 Warhawks who garnered National Tenpin Coaches Association All-Academic accolades, the organization announced last week. The Warhawks were also designated as an All-Academic Team with a team grade point average of 3.370, the No. 43 GPA among all NCAA bowling teams.

Daniel Szydlowski Inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Daniel Szydlowski, of Buffalo Grove, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Szydlowski was initiated at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Augustana College's spring semester Dean's List

Augustana College announced more than 1,100 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2020-21 spring semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

• Vladislava Botsul, of Buffalo Grove, majoring in Accounting
• Grace Gayhart, of Buffalo Grove, majoring in Music General.
