Coronavirus: Tide Dry Cleaners Offer Free Service To Responders
Tide Dry Cleaners locations around the country are offering free laundry service for front-line responders to the coronavirus.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Tide Dry Cleaners in Buffalo Grove is offering free service to police, firefighter, EMTs and other front-line responders to the coronavirus as part of a nationwide effort to give back to the employees putting themselves in harm's way throughout this pandemic. Brian Russ, general manager of the Buffalog Grove Tide Cleaners, said the offer will be good for locations in Illinois, Texas, Ohio and other states until May 9 but that date may be extended depending on how long the virus remains a threat.
Russ said the deal began on Friday but it took a few days before the word spread but over the law couple days, orders have been on the rise.
"This is our way of saying thank you to our first responders and to take something off their plate," Russ said "We just wanted to help out in any way we could."

Josh Jewell, manager of Buffalo Grove Tide Dry Cleaners, said one clothing item responders shouldn't bring in are scrubs with any bodily fluids on them.
