Cubs To Allow Vaccinated Fans To Go Maskless At Wrigley Field
The Chicago Cubs took a big step today in returning Wrigley Field to normalcy, as vaccinated fans can now go without masks in the ballpark.

CHICAGO - The Chicago Cubs announced today that fans who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will no longer be required to wear a mask while inside Wrigley Field, although they are still recommended.
The updated guidelines were announced both on the Cubs website and in the teams' email newsletter. This new masking rule applies only to vaccinated fans who are in the outdoor areas of the park, such as the seating sections or concourses. Patrons aged 2 and older who have not been vaccinated are still required to wear a mask at all times while at Wrigley Field. In addition, masks are still required for all fans, regardless of vaccination status, when visiting indoor spaces in the park, such as restaurants, interior concession stands, and souvenir shops.
In addition to requiring masks for non-vaccinated fans, all Wrigley Field and Cubs employees will still be required to wear masks. This comes as the team announced last week that they would be increasing the stadium's capacity to 60 percent starting during tomorrow's game against the Cincinnati Reds.

"The atmosphere as I remember it is one of the best in baseball," Cubs manager David Ross told the Chicago Tribune. "I can't wait to get back to that. I think it will feel normal. I think it will give us a nice boost, and it will be nice to be welcomed home after a good road trip."
Besides these updated masking guidelines, the Cubs are still taking additional steps to ensure the safety of all fans who visit Wrigley Field. Per the team's website, this includes practicing social distancing, deep-cleaning the park before and after every game, eliminating paper tickets, and touchless security and screening protocols.
