BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

  • Iziah Iwan Rice, 33, of the 2100 block of S 4th Avenue, Maywood, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, a tinted windows violation, operating a vehicle with an expired registration, and was arrested at 5:57 p.m. March 21. Bond was set at $2,500 and Rice was assigned a court date of April 9 in Mundelein.
  • De Anna Fechtmann, 37, of the 28700 block of Pondview, Lakemoor, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, speeding over the statutory limit (54 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 5:39 p.m. March 25 at Half Day Road and Taylor Court. Bond was set at $2,500 and Fechtmann was assigned a court date of May 14 in Mundelein.
  • Anna K. Pryjda, 46, of the 1100 block of Forums Court, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to reduce speed for a crash, and was arrested at 9:09 p.m. March 25 at Route 53 near Checker. Bond was set at $2,500 and Pryjda was assigned a court date of April 16.
  • Alycia Kristine Williams, 30, of the 29500 block of North Waukegan Road, Lake Bluff, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, speeding over the statutory limit (52 mph in a 35 mph zone), operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested at 10:23 p.m. March 24 at Millbrook Drive and Half Day Road. Her bond was set at $2,500 and she was assigned a court date of April 16 in Mundelein.

RETAIL THEFT

Antonio Maldonado, Jr., 52, of the 300 block of Inland Drive, Wheeling, is accused of retail theft at Woodman's Food Market, and was arrested at 1:58 p.m. March 25 at 1550 E Deerfield Parkway. A store manager told police that Maldonado had left the store with $355.61 of merchandise in a grocery shopping cart without paying. He was due in court on March 25.

THEFT

Joe L. Rojas, 36, of the 900 block of Vine Street, Streamwood, is accused of having a warrant for bond forfeiture on a theft charge, and was arrested at 10:15 p.m. March 25. Bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of May 17 in Rolling Meadows.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

Anthony T. Miller, 31, of the 1100 block of Holiday Lane Avenue, Des Plaines, is accused of having a warrant for a residential burglary, two charges of theft, and was arrested at 4 p.m. March 25 at the Shell Gas Station, 215 W 31st Street, Chicago. He was due in court on March 25 in Waukegan.

CUSTOMER/MANAGEMENT DISPUTE

A manager at the Four Points, 900 W Lake Cook Road, called police at 10:20 p.m. March 20 to report there was an upset guest at the hotel. The guest was complaining about not being able to use the pool. The manager said all times to use the pool had been booked by other guests. The guest told police the hotel did not meet his expectations and was advised to contact the corporate office.

SUSPICIOUS PHONE CALL

An Old Oak Drive resident reported at noon, March 22, they received a phone call from someone stating they were with the Cook County Sheriff's Office and were requesting personal information. They said they would need the resident's date of birth, social security number and more. The resident became suspicious when the person asked for the correct spelling of their name and phone number as they believed the person should have already had that information. The resident hung up and was advised by police to still keep a close on their bank accounts and credit accounts as a precaution.
