BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

- Estevan William Lopez, 25, of the 900 block of Iroquois Drive, Elgin, is accused of driving on a suspended license, driving 21-25 mph over the limit, and was arrested June 27 at Lake Cook and Milwaukee roads. He was assigned a court date of July 16.
- Xenia Y. Hegwood, 27, of the 1400 block of Candlewood Court, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 5:50 a.m. Jun 27 at Marvin's Way/Weiland. She was assigned a court date of July 16.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Tanner G. Mappa, 19, of the 800 block of Spruce Street, Deerfield, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, driving while license revoked/suspended, and was arrested at 6:20 a.m. June 29 at Hollow Court and Thompson Boulevard. He was assigned a court date of July 14.

INCIDENTS
CUSTOMER/MANAGER DISPUTE
An employee at Shell, 185 N Milwaukee Ave., called police at 2:57 p.m. June 25 to report a customer was upset that they could not cash in all of their lottery tickets and left the store after having a verbal altercation with an employee. The customer was gone upon the arrival of police.
NEIGHBORHOOD TROUBLE
A resident near the 1100 block of Courtland reported at 12:10 p.m. June 27 that when she was out walking her dog, a neighbor yelled at her when her dog stopped to pee on the parkway grass. The dog walker told police this is an ongoing problem, and told police she always cleans up her dog's poop and doesn't let the dog go in the grass near the building. Police attempted to contact the upset neighbor, but they didn't answer their phone or door.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
- A resident in the 200 block of Stonegate Drive called police at 12:34 a.m. June 28 to report several mailboxes in the area were pulled or dislodged from the ground by three people who were walking a dog.
- A piece of playground equipment was reported damaged at 8:28 a.m June 28 at Woodland Park, 2500 N Buffalo Grove Road. The damaged pieces could not be located.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident of Oak Creek Drive called police at 8:11 p.m. June 28 to report someone attempted to obtain unemployment benefits using their personal information.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
A person called police at 9:32 a.m. June 29 to report a vehicle was suspicious after someone said it had been parked on the street for over 18 hours. Police contacted the car's owner who said it had only been parked there during the morning hours for the past two days while visiting a residence on the street.
SUSPICIOUS PHONE CALL
A Highland Grove Court resident reported at 6:33 p.m. June 30 they received a phone call from someone requesting payment for an i-Phone. The resident told the officer that they did not purchase an i-Phone and refused to provide the caller with his credit card information.
