BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Lucio Sanchez-Margarito, 62, of Brier Hill Drive, Round Lake Park, is accused of no valid driver's license, speeding over the statutory limit 15-20 mph, and was arrested at 8:22 p.m. May 13 at Arlington Heights and Beechwood roads. He was assigned a court date of June 11.

UNLICENSED DRIVER

Cruz Aguirre, 26, of Arbor Drive, Rolling Meadows, is accused of being an unlicensed driver, no insurance/operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding over the statutory limit, no valid vehicle registration, and was arrested at 11:18 a.m. May 9 at Dundee and Old Arlington Heights roads. He was assigned a court date of July 16.

ASSAULT

Stephen H. Copeland, 37, of E Bourdeaux Court, Buffalo Grove, is accused of assault, and was arrested May 9 in the 600 block of E Bourdeaux Court East. He was assigned a court date of May 28.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

Pablo R. Soriano, 65, of N Hickory, Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, no insurance/operating an uninsured vehicle, electronic communication device, and was arrested at 4:45 p.m. May 8 at N McHenry Road and Checker Drive. He was assigned a court date of July 16.

INCIDENTS

VIOLATION OF A VILLAGE ORDINANCE

An officer responded to the 500 block of Lyon Drive on May 14 for a complaint of a residential yard with long grass. The officer made contact with the homeowner, who said they will try to find a more reliable landscaping company.

MOTORIST DISPUTE

A two truck driver called police at 9:36 p.m. May 12 following a disturbance at Lake Cook and Buffalo Grove roads. The driver had been contracted to remove vehicles parked improperly on a private property. After removing a vehicle, the driver was stopped at a red light when approached by a motorist, who approached his truck, opened his door and demanded that he release her car. The woman spoke to police and both parties were calm when police left the scene.

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS

A driver was issued a local ordinance citation for possession of cannabis by someone under the age of 21 at midnight May 12 at Dundee and Buffalo Grove roads.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

A person reported to police at 1 a.m. May 11 that someone stole their vehicle's wheels and tires while it was parked in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Fremont Court East.

ASSAULT

A resident in the 600 block of Bourdeaux Court East reported at 12:15 p.m. May 8 a confrontation between her and a neighbor, who had come to her front door. The neighbor was charged with assault.

NEIGHBOR COMPLAINT

A resident in the 700 block of Old Checker Court called police at 8 p.m. May 9 to report a neighbor yelled at her children for going on his lawn.

DOG BITE

A person reported at 12:15 p.m. May 8 that their dog was bitten by a neighbor's dog. The biting dog ran across the street and bit the person's dog through a fence. Both dogs were current on their vaccinations.
