FBI: Makeup-Wearing Man Who Robbed Buffalo Grove Bank Behind 4 Heists

Buffalo Grove is working with federal investigators to identify a man who's now considered a "serial bank robber."

BUFFALO GROVE, IL - A reward is on the table for anyone who can help identify a serial bank robber who struck a Chase in Buffalo Grove at the end of June.

The bandit robbed the local bank at 175 McHenry Road on June 30 in his fourth heist in seven months, according to the Chicago FBI. He reportedly entered the branch and passed a note to the teller threatening use of a weapon if he didn't receive money. The suspect then left the location with an undisclosed amount of money, according to a news release from the Buffalo Grove Police Department.

Surveillance photos of the offender are circulating, but police say he is a white man between 20 and 30 years old who stands anywhere from 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall. He has dark hair that he parts down the middle, and witnesses say he wears foundation makeup on his face.
