BUFFALO GROVE, IL — During these difficult times, it's important to support local businesses. Knowing doing so will also benefit Feeding America's COVID-19 Response Fund makes it a no-brainer.

For the month of May, Buffalo Grove's The Stationery Studio is donating $1 per item sold to the fund.

“We all know someone who’s been affected by the pandemic,” said Renee Redman, founder of The Stationery Studio. “We wanted to help give back [and the fund] was the perfect way for us to help.”

Redman started The Stationery Studio in 1994. Three years later, it became one of the nation's first online personalized stationary and gift businesses in the United States, according to Redman.

Feeding America, a nonprofit, is a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks that feeds more than 46 million people, according to its website. The organization accomplishes this by working with food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other community-based agencies. Every dollar raised from the COVID-19 Response Fund will be used to get food and funds to local food banks across the U.S.
