BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

UNLICENSED DRIVER

Heriberto Olvera-Leon, 23, of the 0-100 block of Saint James Street, Waukegan, is accused of being an unlicensed driver, speeding over the statutory limit (50 MPH in a 30 MPH zone), and was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 2500 block of Millbrook Drive. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of March 12 in Mundelein.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

Marie L. Baggett, 26, of the 0-100 block of S Buffalo Grove, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, speeding (52MPH in a 35MPH zone), operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested at 9:37 a.m. Feb. 3 in the 1100 block of W Dundee Road. Her bond was set at $2,500 and she was assigned a court date of Feb. 19 in Mundelein.

  • A customer at Aldi, 1202 W Dundee Road, called police at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 29 to report an altercation between two males in the parking lot. According to the report, a homeless man was standing in the corner of the parking lot by the exit on Arlington Heights Road when another man drove past and started berating him with curse words. The homeless man said the other man then drove by a second time, got out of his car and got in his face before pushing him to the ground. He said the man told him he was a "sheriff" and he didn't want to see him at Aldi anymore because his family "family lives here" and he is tired of looking at him. The homeless man told police he didn't engage with the other man and was defenseless toward him. He said he didn't want any problems, but the man kept yelling at him before leaving.
  • A manager at Lou Malinati's, 85 S Buffalo Grove Road, reported at 10:29 p.m. Feb. 4 that while they were closing the store, she saw a fight between employees happening in the parking lot. One employee had struck the other on his forehead with a tire iron, according to the report. She fired the employee who had struck the other and told them to leave the property.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLES PARTS

A resident in the 700 block of Weidner Road reported at 1:44 p.m. Feb. 4 that after noticing his vehicle was extremely loud, he discovered that the catalytic converter had been stolen. He said the last time he knew the vehicle to be intact was on Feb. 2 when he had got an oil change.
