Loud Explosions Heard On Successive Nights Near Homes: Blotter
Two residents called police to report hearing loud explosions over the course of several nights: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

- Robert Paul Walrod III, 19, of the 200 block of W Norman Lane, Wheeling, is accused of two counts of criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 1 p.m. March 8. He was assigned a court date of March 9 in Rolling Meadows.
- Lilianna Rose Dobrowski, 18, of the 800 block of Sussex Court, Buffalo Grove, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 1 p.m. March 8. She was assigned a court date of March 9 in Rolling Meadows.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
David Israel Speck, 28, of the 1000 block of Beechwood Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content level greater than .08, speeding over the statutory limit, disregarding a stop sign, and was arrested at 9:05 p.m. March 7 at Beechwood and Weidner. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of March 24 in Waukegan.

RESISTING A PEACE OFFICER
Kristina Maria Ball, 28, of the 700 block of N Salem Drive, Hoffman Estates, is accused of resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 8:54 p.m. March 7. Her bond was set at $1,500 and she was assigned a court date of March 30 in Rolling Meadows.
DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE
Shawn Michael Carter, 29, of the 100 block of Canton Lane, Streamwood, is accused of operating a vehicle with no insurance, driving on a suspended/revoked license, and was arrested at 3:34 a.m. March 10 at Old Arlington Heights and Dundee roads. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of April 5.

INCIDENTS
THEFT OVER $500
A resident in the 900 block of Beechwood Drive reported at 10:06 a.m. March 8 a bicycle, valued at $600, had been stolen. The bicycle, described as gray/green with a black/red seat, black bike rack at the rear, blue lock by the seat, black lock by the handlebars, and a small light on the handlebars, had been left on the side of the garage.
SUSPICIOUS NOISE
A resident in the 1300 block of Bristol Lane called police at 9:13 p.m. March 9 to report the last few nights they had heard a loud explosion that shook their home. They said the noise occurs between 8-9 p.m. A second caller said they had also heard the explosion the prior three nights. They said they saw a silver sedan, possibly a BMW or Mercedes, leave the area after the explosions.
CUSTOMER/MANAGEMENT DISPUTE
A manager at the Dollar Tree, 1212 W Dundee Road, reported at 8:38 p.m. March 10 a female customer was causing problems in the store and management wanted her trespassed. Prior to the arrival of police, the woman fled the area in a black Jeep. The manager said the woman had stolen from the store in the past and was attempting to steal nail polish that night. The woman placed the bottles of nail polish in her purse and asked to use the restroom. When confronted about the theft, she began yelling and approached the manager aggressively. She placed the nail polish in a shopping cart near the cash register and left.
