A Love Letter From Randy Gollay

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Randy Gollay’s poem for his wife:

My wife has had multiple sclerosis for 30 years. Today she's back in the hospital with complications -- she's a unique case. I can't even begin to explain, all she's been through…

Hey - Did I tell you that I love my wife?
I love her when she tells me I'm silly!
I love her when she says I am never serious!
I love her when she wakes me in the middle of the night to adjust her pillow or cover her legs.
I love her when she scolds me for forgetting her protein drink or her toothbrush or her sleeping pill or probiotic.
I love her when she asks me to lower the TV volume.
I love her when she corrects me for not placing her in her wheelchair exactly how she wants to be positioned.
I love her when I do screw up and error.
I love her when I get her so mad she says she hates me!
I love her when I take her to all the hospitals, clinics, doctors, rehabs...
I love her when I cut her nails or trim her eyebrows.
I love when I change her catheter, put her brace on and dress her.
I love her when she's tired of crying and hoping...
I love her in the morning.
I love her in the afternoon.
I love her in the evening.
I love her from the day our eyes first met!
I love that she's my wife (for life)!
I love her that she helped raise an amazing young lady!
I love my wife.
