Over 200 Tickets Issued During Buffalo Grove Traffic Detail
The Buffalo Grove Police Department participated in the traffic campaign from Aug. 16 through Sept. 2.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The Buffalo Grove Police Department handed out hundreds of tickets during a recent Labor Day traffic enforcement campaign. The traffic campaign was held from Aug. 16 through Sept. 2 and authorities in town made 242 traffic stops during the campaign, according to a news release from the Buffalo Grove Police Department.
In total, the police department arrested one person for impaired driving, wrote 165 citations to drivers who were not wearing their seatbelts, issued 22 speeding tickets and also cited 20 drivers for using a mobile device while driving, according to authorities.
The Buffalo Grove Police Department joined forces with law enforcement throughout the
State of Illinois during the Labor Day Enforcement campaign. The Illinois “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” program is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with federal dollars managed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
