Park District Eyes Spray 'N Play Expansion
A consultant's report recommended expanding the splash area and other improvements to Mike Rylko Community Park.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL – The popular Spray 'N Play splash pad could undergo an expansion if park district officials are able to move forward with recommendations outlined in a consultant's report, which focuses on possible improvements for Rylko Park in Buffalo Grove. The splash park has been popular with residents and is one of the park district's most popular amenities, park district spokesman Mike Terson told the Buffalo Grove Countryside.
A report from Legat Architects also outlines other possible improvements at Mike Rylko Community Park, which include renovating the skate park, possible updates and relocation of the playground. Possible improvements to the softball fields could mean improved seating meant to make the area more "fan friendly," Terson told the Buffalo Grove Countryside.
Park district officials are now looking at the recommendations and determining which projects should be completed first and are financially feasible, Terson said.
