Police Conduct 'Aggressive' DUI Detail Over Halloween: Cops

The Buffalo Grove Police Department will be on the lookout for drunken drivers as the Halloween holiday gets underway.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The Buffalo Grove Police Department will be on the lookout for drunken drivers over the Halloween holiday. An "aggressive" enforcement effort will kick off on Oct. 19 and continue through Nov. 3, according to a news release from the police department.

“Driving while alcohol- or drug-impaired is deadly; it is illegal and it will get you pulled over and arrested this Halloween,” said Sgt. Michelle Kondrat of the Buffalo Grove Police Department.

Impaired driving not only puts the driver and their passengers at risk, but also everyone else on the road, police said. Residents who spot a potentially impaired driver are asked to call 911 as soon as it is safe to report what they saw, according to the news release.
