Prairie Road Cleared After Downed Power Lines

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Prairie Road was closed in both directions Wednesday night for crews working to mend downed power lines, but is now open.

The downed lines were reported at the intersection of Prairie Road and Aptakisic Road at about 5:00 p.m. A village spokesperson was not able to give an estimate as to when the road would be open again.

Officials recommended using Buffalo Grove Road to avoid a reroute and heavy traffic.
