'Significant' Outdoor Gas Leak Reported Friday In Buffalo Grove

Weiland Road is open to traffic after an earlier outdoor gas leak that caused the road to be closed.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Residents are encouraged to avoid the area of Weiland Road and Abbott Court Friday afternoon following a significant outdoor gas leak. Fire department crews are on the scene, according to the Village of Buffalo Grove in a social media post at 1:45 p.m.
A construction crew hit a gas main, resulting in the leak. Crews are working to contain the area.
