Two Thefts of Over $500 Reported in Town: Buffalo Grove Blotter

Two incidents of theft were reported to Buffalo Grove police. Both residents reported the item(s) stolen were valued at over $500.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

MOTOR VEHICLE OFFENSES

  • Jimmy Montesinos, 28, of Des Plaines, is charged with one count of driving with a suspended or revoked license, one count of speeding over statutory limit and one count of operating an uninsured vehicle. All three offenses took place on March 12 at the corner of Lake Cook Road and Northgate Parkway at 3:50 p.m. Montesinos did not own the vehicle he was operating.
  • Jose Luis Sanchez Jr., 26, of Arlington Heights, is charged with one count of driving with a suspended or revoked license, one count of operating an uninsured vehicle and one count of driving without a valid registration. Sanchez Jr. was pulled over on March 14 on the 1600 block of Lake Cook Road in Buffalo Grove.
  • Norma Estela Manica Alonzo, 24, of Hoffman Estates, is charged with one count of driving as an unlicensed driver, one count of not wearing a seatbelt and one count of operating an uninsured vehicle. The offenses took place on March 18 at the corner of Dundee Road and Weidner Road. The case has been closed after Manica Alonzo was released on her own recognizance.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Felicia Iturbe, 31, of Blue Island, is charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol on March 13 at 2:15 a.m. on the corner of N Arlington Heights Road and N McHenry Road. Iturbe's Blood Alcohol Content is not available.

INCIDENTS

PUBLIC COMPLAINT

  • On March 17 at 8:15 p.m. a store manager at Siemens Building Technologies at 100 E Deerfield Parkway complained of a suspicious vehicle parked in the business' lot for 15 minutes. No arrests were made.
  • A resident of Buffalo Grove filed a complaint regarding solicitors on the 500 block of Harris Drive on March 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • A complaint of neighborhood trouble was filed on March 15 at 10:00 p.m. in a condo on the 800 block of Weidner Road. No arrests were made.

THEFT

  • An item valued over $500 was reported stolen from a front porch on the 100 block of W Fabish Drive in Buffalo Grove at 2:00 p.m on March 16. No arrests were made.
  • Another theft of property valued over $500 was reported by a resident of the 100 block of Villa Verde Drive on March 17 at around 6:00 p.m. An arrest has not yet been made.
