Champaign’s 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled
Champaign's traditional Fourth of July events have been canceled, including the fireworks, parade, and 5K.
CHAMPAIGN, IL – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Champaign. The parade, fireworks, and 5K have been canceled.
"As our country goes through this unprecedented crisis, we know that everyone looks forward to gathering together to celebrate our great nation," the city said in a press release. "Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all on July 4th, 2021."
